What’s happening…
Aston Hill is a great venue for hosting mountain bike events and has seen downhill, 4X and cross-country races, as well as demo days from those organised by the local shop to the national touring demos.
2010′s races have been a great success; click on the links to read reviews of the Black Run Mother’s Day Special and Eastern and Central Champs.
For 2011, downhill racing will once again return in March to Aston Hill’s infamous Black Run for the 14th time to kick off the new race season. This early season test is always a good indicator of the riders to watch for the upcoming season, and those that should have practiced more over the winter months!
The Eastern and Central Champs are once again being held on the Hill on 4th September. The track will probably be the 423, but this has not been confirmed, so may yet change!
As always it will be a great day out for all the family and Aston Hill Mountain Bike Club will be pulling out all the stops; full digital timing from Mikrotime, catering from Café in the Woods and all the regular trade stands along with some big name sponsors in talks to support.
