Committee

The committee is the driving force behind Aston Hill. It is the primary liason point between the riders, the CTC and the Forestry Commission, and is directly responsible for the running of Aston Hill.

Despite its rather intimidating name, it’s a very informal set-up that is very open to suggestions on how to improve the Hill. It brings a wealth of varied experience, both mountain biking and professional, and works incredibly hard on a volunteer basis to keep things running smoothly.

Currently the committee consists of:

  • Peter Way – Chairman
  • Secretary
  • Paul Whitelegge – Treasurer
  • Richard Abbott – Trail Manager
  • Matt Wakefield – Trail Manager
  • Scott Morehouse – Trail Manager
  • Neil Cain – Marketing
  • Mark Harris – Social Rep.
  • Nic Way – Rider Rep.
  • Ben Hopkins – Rider Rep.
  • Sam Wakefield – Junior Rider Rep.
  • Darren Carter – Race Rep.
  • Deon Fouche – Project Manager
  • Ian Warby – CTC
  • Daniel Burns – Forestry Commission

They are all friendly, approachable people and can all be grabbed on the Hill if you need to have a chat, or you can get hold of us via the contact page.

A more formal place to get your ideas across is the annual general meeting where the Hill is discussed in an open forum, which is something members of Aston Hill are entitled to come along to. Want to come along? Then you need to join!
