As you no doubt know, it’s the Eastern and Central Champs this weekend, so trails will be shut Sunday for the race.
It’s been a dry week after a period of prolonged wet and the trails are currently running really well. The weather forecast has been changing by the hour since Wednesday, and now looks set to be either dry or a few showers on Sunday depending who you talk to. A drop of rain may not actually go amiss – there’s quite a bit of dust out there!
If you’re riding this weekend, it probably wouldn’t hurt to bring a waterproof and a pair of the current Aston Hill tyre of choice – the Specialized Hillbilly – just to be on the safe side. The track itself is pretty loamy in places and dusty in others, so something with a good moto-x pattern should do you just fine, whatever the weather.
